An inside look of a violin

🎵 Step 1:

We embarked on the restoration journey with a 1851 John Wouldhaver violin, gently removing its top.

🎵 Step 2:

The crack repair commenced by expertly removing any old, oversized cleats.

🎵 Step 3:

We meticulously cleaned the crack, ensuring it’s perfectly prepped for the re-joining process.

🎵 Step 4

The magic happened as we delicately glued the fractured parts back together, securing them with precision clamping.

🎵 Step 5

The neck was skilfully detached and the ribs meticulously mended.

🎵 Step 6

To ensure structural integrity, we added a maple filler to the neck root.
